In my first year of surgical residency training, I left the family and flew to the USA to complete part of my surgical externship at UC Davis. UC Davis is the top Veterinary teaching hospital in the USA and this opportunity was incredible. I spent time with the orthopaedic and neurology departments and these are still my special interests.
If you have an interest in a certain field of veterinary medicine, enough cannot be said for arranging visits with other veterinarians and specialists who work within your field of choice.
