My cases for today, just for fun! It was a great day. - Patent ductus arteriosis in a 2kg Maltese - went well - further update to follow in a separate post when I get the photos together. - Scope and TPLO in 50kg Labrador - that ideally should have been a 35kg Labrador :) - Extrahepatic spleno-azygous shunt in a 4 year old Jack Russel Terrier. A cellophane band technique was utilised. - CT for a 2 year old Border Collie X with suspect elbow dysplasia. Instagram definitely wouldn't allow enough words to discuss decision making around this one. - Left medial liver lobectomy in an 11 year old Maltese X. Histo pending. The dog required an auto-transfusion post-operatively but is currently doing well in ICU. - Perineal urethrostomy in a cat that had obstructed multiple times and was internally referred from Cat Specialist Services with a stricture just caudal to the bulbourethral glands. - Medial iliac lymph node abscessation in an 11 year old GSD with secondary septic peritonitis. Lymph node extirpation, abdominal flush, JP drain. Currently in ICU.
Picture: Not from today, but a cute puppy that had bilateral ulnar ostectomies a few weeks back.
